Makita Table Saw 2708

Looking for the Makita table saw 2708 model?  The Makita table saw 2708 is quite old at this point and pretty hard to get a hold of as newer models are now being produced in it’s placed.  However, this is still one of the best  portable saws ever made which is why so many people are still looking for it.

If you really want to get a Makita table saw 2708 model then you’re going to have to be a little more resourceful than the average person.  You’re definitely not going to find it by searching for it through various stores, but online however, there is a possibility of finding it via an auction.

There are some people online who have the Makita table saw 2708 model and are looking to sell it off.  If you really want this, you will have to get it used, but if you’re OK with that, you can check out EBay to start and see if you can find it there.  As I write this, I have already found one there for a bidding price of $147.50 US dollars, it is for a 8” model in excellent condition, which is quite rare to find.

Usually when you get these table saws, they are in “fair” condition.  Table saws take a lot of abuse when being used to fashion furniture, cabinetry or just chop up lumber and 4x4’s.  All of this causes a great deal of wear on the equipment, so you would be lucky to find one in good condition.

This one here that I’m looking at now ships for $45 to the US, so if you were to get this it would be for a total cost of under $200 which is pretty good.  Of course one bad thing about buying from auctions is that you never know if you’re actually going to get the item.  It’s  not a certain thing, you are bidding on it, if you lose the bid, you don’t win the item, which sucks.

However there are other auction sites on the Internet which you may be able to purchase this from, you might even be able to find one on Craigslist.

If all else fails in your quest for a Makita table saw 2708 model, the last thing you can do is order the next best thing, a more current model which is currently being sold and is much easier to get a hold of.  Whether or not these models are as good as the 2708 is up for debate, but you may consider the “Makita 2703X1 15 Amp 10” Benchtop Table Saw w/ Fixed Stand”.  This unit can be found on Amazon for $378.73.
